Does PayMint hold customer money?

No. The product is designed so we start the payment session, show the QR or Request to Pay, and confirm when it works. Money moves on Raast to your merchant account. It is not meant to sit in a PayMint balance. The payments app is not live for merchants yet.

Is PayMint a bank or a digital wallet?

Accepted Answer

No. PayMint is an early-access Shopify payments app we are building for Pakistan Raast checkout. Buyers pay inside their own Raast banking or wallet app. We handle the checkout session and status only. Not yet listed in the Shopify App Store.

Question 3

How do you charge?

Accepted Answer

Intended terms: three monthly packages in USD. Starter $19 (up to 200 checkouts), Growth $49 (up to 750), and Business $99 (unlimited). No free plan and no trial. No PayMint percentage of your sales. Final billing is confirmed in the merchant agreement before activation.

What if I hit my package checkout limit?

Move up to the next package. Business has no checkout cap. We do not add a PayMint percentage fee on extra orders.

Question 5

Can buyers still use cash on delivery?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After PayMint is published, you can keep COD as a Shopify manual payment method next to it for buyers who cannot pay before you ship.

Can I cancel?

When live merchant terms apply, you can cancel with 7 days’ notice and no PayMint penalty fee. Waitlist interest can be removed by email anytime.

Do you support refunds and test payments?

Accepted Answer

Not for merchants yet. Charge, refund, and test mode are required for Shopify payments app review. They are on our status board and will be available in a review store before App Store submission.

Is PayMint approved on the Shopify App Store?

Not yet. The public site and waitlist are live. The Shopify Payments Partner application has been submitted and we are awaiting Shopify’s response. Build and payments app review come after partner access and a signed revenue share agreement. See /status for the current board. Nothing here is a live install.

Who is this for today?

Shopify merchants selling to Pakistan who want early access while we wait for Payments Partner access, then complete build and approvals. Joining the waitlist is not a live install.

Is PayMint the only way to take digital payments on Shopify in Pakistan?

Accepted Answer

No. Shopify’s own payments product is unavailable in Pakistan, so stores already use COD, wallets, cards, bank gateways, and multi-gateway apps. PayMint’s focus is different: a Raast-first Shopify payment method with QR and Request to Pay, settlement designed to your merchant account, and a fixed monthly package instead of a PayMint cut of each order. It is early access and not yet listed in the Shopify App Store.

What is Raast P2M?

Raast is Pakistan’s instant payment system run under the State Bank of Pakistan’s framework. P2M means Person-to-Merchant: a consumer pays a registered merchant. PayMint is designed to open a Raast P2M checkout from Shopify using dynamic QR or Request to Pay after approvals.

Can buyers pay with JazzCash, easypaisa, HBL, Meezan, or NayaPay?

Buyers pay inside whatever Raast-enabled banking or wallet app they already use—often JazzCash, easypaisa, NayaPay, HBL, Meezan Bank, Bank Alfalah, UBL, and other participating apps. PayMint does not own those apps. Support for scanning a merchant QR or approving RTP depends on each institution’s Raast P2M features.

Does Shopify Payments work in Pakistan?

Shopify’s own payments product is not available for merchants in Pakistan. That is why stores use COD, wallet checkouts, cards, bank gateways, or third-party payment methods. PayMint is being built as a Raast-first alternative payment method for Shopify checkout—not as a replacement for Shopify Payments in markets where Shopify Payments is live.

Question 14

Will PayMint work for Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and other Pakistan cities?

Yes in intent. Raast is a national rail. Merchants across Pakistan who sell on Shopify and settle to a Pakistani IBAN are the target audience once Partner access, rail certification, and payments app review are complete.
