Pakistan market
Shopify Payments (Shopify’s first-party processor) is not available for merchants based in Pakistan. Stores still sell online—with COD, wallets, cards, bank gateways, and third-party payment methods. PayMint is being built as a Raast-first alternative payment method for Shopify checkout.
Merchants cannot turn on Shopify’s own card processor the way US/UK stores do. Checkout still works. You add payment methods Shopify allows in your market: manual COD, third-party gateways, and—once approved—payments apps like PayMint.
Cash on delivery remains huge. Digital prepaid often means JazzCash / easypaisa style wallet checkouts, bank transfer instructions, card gateways, or multi-gateway apps that may charge a percentage of each order. Each option has trade-offs for conversion, fees, and ops.
PayMint’s intended product is Raast P2M at Shopify checkout: QR or Request to Pay, settlement designed to your IBAN, fixed USD packages ($19 / $49 / $99), COD can stay on. It is not Shopify Payments, not a bank, and not a custodian wallet.
Target merchants sell to Pakistan buyers—including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, and nationwide ecommerce—once approvals and rail certification are complete.
